The State of the Nation Address (SONA)

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

On July 24, 2006, President GMA opened the Third and Final Regular Session of the Philippine Congress with her annual State of the Nation Address (SONA). Having survived several attempts to remove her from power, the SONA conveyed a mood of triumphalism. Are you incorrigibly uncool?

Friday, July 14th, 2006

Inday Garutay was not wearing a sleeveless shirt, a cap/hat, or sandals, and therefore cannot be deemed by Aruba, based on its own dress code, to be inappropriately dressed. Why then was she told to leave the establishment? Was it because they see her as mentally depraved? Incorrigibly uncool?
